The MGW Artist-In-Residence program

Each year, MGW turns over its studio and glassblowing teams to successful and emerging artists from around the world. We shut down production, and devote our time and effort to helping them make gallery quality works to advance their careers. In exchange, these artists donate a work which we auction to help support next years upcoming artists. And during their residencies, we open the doors each Saturday for residents and visitors to the Monterey Peninsula to come, hear accomplished artists discuss their making process, and watch them demonstrate how they are creating their latest series of works.

Fall '22 Artists

We are very proud this season to be hosting to very accomplished artists: Katherine Rutecki and Jamie Randall. They will be both developing their own works as well as completing a collaborative project during their stay with us. You can learn more about each here:

Katherine and Jamie will host open studio talk and demos on both Saturdays of their stay from noon to 5p, Nov 12th and 19th.
