A six week class that teaches the fundamentals of glassblowing. At completion, students will know how to safely create the basic shapes of blown glass objects.

This class is for artists that already understand the basics of kiln forming and want to be supported learning or practicing new techniques beyond the basics of cutting and fusing. The session is organized as an artist's cooperative where each artists picks a technique and uses the five weeks time to learn and trial the new technique. Artists should expect to participate in mutually supportive peer critiques.

Work hotter, Work bigger, Work better, all of the essentials for working on large installation glassworks in professional glassblowing studios. Taught by the owners of Murano's Wave Murano Glass Studio, and Monterey's own Monterey GlassWorlks. Students will drill on the essentials necessary to make high quality installation works. And ultimately, get to see their components installed into a public venue.

This class is for kiln artists that already understand the basics of warm glasswork, enjoy using our open studio time or their own home kiln but would like to learn a new technique or to try something more advanced on larger kilns/equipment. Students taking private lessons will work during open studio times, but with the support of a MGW glass art instructor.

This class is for those that have already completed introduction to glassblowing and wish to have private coaching to improve their skills or complete a complex project. It is priced per 3 hour session, not per person and intended for individuals or small teams to learn advanced techniques, or to get coaching while completing projects.
