VOLTA: Advanced Glassblowing Foundations
Murano comes to Monterey Bay

Work hotter, Work bigger, Work better, all of the essentials for working on large installation glassworks in professional glassblowing studios. Taught by the owners of Murano's Wave Murano Glass Studio, and Monterey's own Monterey GlassWorlks. Students will drill on the essentials necessary to make high quality installation works. And ultimately, get to see their components installed into a public venue.

The glass studio is a fun location to host a unique private event. We've hosted all manner of groups from corporate offsites to bridal showers and personal bucket list parties. You supply the participants and we supply the entertainment with glass artist demos and participative unique experiences.

A private glassblowing experience

Schedule a 3 hour private experience for 2 - 4 persons. This is a unique glassblowing experience where artists demo making a unique piece of glass that participants take home. Then we lead a participative glassblowing experience where participants make their own works with our artists help.

Open Studio time for artist co-working

Periodically we open our studio for former students and experienced kiln workers to use our equipment to make art. We don't provide instruction during that time but we are there to help you use the equipment and will probably be making our own art right beside you. Come join us.

Qualify to use the cold shop

A 90m session to learn how to safely use the cold shop equipment. It includes a checkout test at the end. Successful completion of which allows the user to rent shop time.
