Harvest Fest Glassblowing Party '24

Its that time of the year again, air is getting cooler, halloween is coming, and we're all thinking the same thing....blown glass party! This year, late October coincides with the MGW residency of visiting artist Caroline Landau. 

Caroline will be lead off our party with a spectacular demonstration of how their blown sculptures are made. After which, we'll clear out the shopfloor and set up for some interactive glassblowing. We'll run two benches with MGW artists helping party participants make their own glass pumpkin or ghost. Havent't ever blown glass before? No problem, we'll take care of the scary stuff and you'll get a chance to try it, and to see the result of your own hand in the finished piece.  Just want to watch? Or under 16years old, no problem. Our artists will make a piece for you while you participate in it's design or shop our store for ready made souvenirs. 

This party is a little longer than our regular casting parties to ensure everyone gets some glassblowing time.  We will have appetizers, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages available for guests and the entire studio (including gallery) will be open to attendees.

Attendance is capped at 25 persons. 

Some Details:

PICKUP - Your completed pumpkins & ghosts will need to be annealed for about 24 hours before they are ready for pick up, which you can do anytime during our working hours in the week that follows. 

SHIPPING - If you are coming in from out of town and need us to mail finished pieces to you, that is extra, but let us know and we are happy to do so. 

AGE - This is a family friendly event and minors are welcome as long as they are accompanied by adults. 16 and up for active glass blowing participation.

CANCELATIONS AND NO SHOWS - These things happen, we understand. If you will let us know in advance (7days) we will fully refund the ticket and make it available to the first up on the waitlist. Cancellations within 7days of the event will receive a 50% refund. No shows will not be refunded.

MGW Member Artists and Member Patrons receive 15% discount on this event. Member Patron Diamond Sponsors receive a 30% discount on event tickets. All discounts will be applied at checkout.
