Kiln Artist Project Pass

Service Description

This pass is intended for artists who and to come in on a weekend (or Wed/Friday) and have everything then need to make a finished piece, including coming back later in that same week for a second fire, coldworking edges, etc. Feel free to purchase things ala cart, but this is intended to keep it simple. Come join us! INCLUDED IN PROJECT PASS ACCESS + Kiln Studio Work Space for during all open studio hours (Wed/Friday 1p-5p, Saturdays 9-12:30) + All hand tools and kiln furniture included) + 2 firings of the GL 24 (eg fusing plus slumping) + acess to all molds (that fit in the GL24) + consumable supplies (fiber paper, thin fire, clay). + Up to 1 kg of scrap glass and 2 kg plaster-silica mold mix + Full cold shop access for up to 4 hours * Sandblaster for up to 30 min COST $105 - one time. Or purchase a 10 pack of passes for $850. DOES NOT INCLUDE Your project glass other than MGW scrap glass (Bullseye) PREREQUISITES Safety - All participants must follow MGW safety rules at all times. For first time Studio members, we will provide a walk through sign off on each piece of cold working equipment prior to allowing you to work on your own in the cold shop. Friendliness - This is a working art studio. Artists helping artists. You are welcome to bring food, beverage and music, whatever makes you comfortable while making art. But do so with a respectful attitude to those sharing the space and tools please. Members are expected to clean up their space and reset equipment after use

Cancellation Policy

You are paying for a rental of a Kiln fire which will be fired based on a first come, first serve basis. Please use the date picker to let us know when you intend to drop off your piece(s).
