STUDIO RENTALS
Our facility is unique for working artists whose mediums require large format spaces with access to industrial power (480v, 240v, 110), tremendous fresh air flow, light and ceiling heights. We are in an industrial building 2 blocks from the beach and next door to a terrific new hotel for visiting students and collectors.

With the removal our our glassblowing hot shop, we now have room to add a few new resident artists. Our current artists include glass casters, fusers, photographers and stained glassers. We are open to other working artists who are looking to join a supportive Monterey based Arts Collective.

We've two options to make art at Monterey GlassWorks.
Open Studio Hours
We provide open access to the studio for local artists twice a week: Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Access includes use of open work benches, hand tools and our full coldworking studio. Open studio members may also use our shop molds and purchase kiln firing using our various kilns.
Dedicated Studio Memberships
Resident artists receive dedicated Studio space for their own work as well as access to the common studio resources (eg cold shop, sand blaster, kilns, molds, etc). Resident artists are allowed year around 365d x 24hr access to use their studio as an exclusive private work space.
MGW provides dedicated tables & storage for the residents' workspace and have proper ventilation, power supplies and egress/access to allow artists to additionally build out their spaces with dedicated kilns, flameworking, CNC or other power intensive making equipment.
